2i. Ultrasound: to see if the lump is solid, cystic, complex, or part of group of lumps.i
3i. Radionuclide scans: may show malignant lesions as hypofunctioning or 'cold', whereas a hyperfunctioning i'hot' lesion suggests adenoma.i
4i. FNA: and do cytology on the fluid.i
