thickening of the skin either localized or generalized ,resulting in waxy ivory-coloured areas .
it is an autoimmune disease .
could be: 1-local or
2-systemic affecting visceral organs

systemic sclerosis is related to CREST syndrome
CREST= Calcinosis , Raynaud, Esophagel dysmotility,Sclerodactyly, Telangiectasias
